Where it all began

Some places never really leave us.
There are places that stay with you.
Even after you've left.
Even after years have passed.
Because a part of your heart will always belong there.

I was born in the south of Chile and grew up mostly in Switzerland.
For a long time, I believed I was simply travelling between two countries.
Looking back, I think I was searching for something else.
A feeling of home.
Not a place on a map.
But a quiet connection.

Every time I returned to Chile, I felt it again.
The endless wind.
The vast landscapes.
The silence of the mountains.
The rhythm of nature.
It reminded me that beauty doesn't have to be loud.
It simply has to be real.

Over time, that feeling began to shape everything I created.
I found myself drawn to natural fibres.
To craftsmanship.
To making things slowly, with intention.
Not because it was the fastest way.
But because it felt like the most honest one.

That's how ÜLCHA was born.
Not from a business idea.
But from a longing to create something that carries the same feeling I found in the south of Chile.
A feeling of warmth.
Of freedom.
Of belonging.

Every crochet piece.
Every fibre.
Every collection.
Carries a small part of that journey.

Because I don't believe we wear handmade pieces only for how they look.
I believe we wear them because of how they make us feel.
Connected.
Grounded.
At home.

Crafted slowly. Inspired by nature. Guided by heart.
Some places become memories.
Some memories become stories.
Some stories become something you can hold.
Welcome to ÜLCHA.
